Joyce E. (Weyels) Vargo

Of Braddock Hills, age 80, died peacefully at home after battling a long illness.

Wife of the late James A. Vargo.

Loving mother of Michele Vargo of Murrysville, James W. Vargo of Wilkins Twp. and William S. Vargo of Forest Hills.

Precious grandmother of Natalia, Aaron and James.

Dear sister of Gerry (Nick) Kosanovich of Forest Hills, Jackie (Dennis) DiNardo of FL. and Jeff Weyels of North Versailles. Joyce was also preceded in death by 2 childhood sisters, Judy and Jennifer Weyels.

Joyce was a 1961 graduate of St. Anselm High School and was a longtime employee of Mellon Bank at both the Swissvale and Forest Hills branch offices. She was skilled at crafting and also was known for her excellent baking. Joyce loved to host family gatherings and cherished taking care of her Yorkies.

Friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maurice Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Joyce will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
