Joseph A. "Jody" Punturi

Of Harrison City, formerly of Braddock Hills, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 65 on May 26, 2026.

Born in North Braddock in 1961,  he was the second of four children and oldest son in the family.

Son of Caroleen and the late Albert Punturi.

Jody is survived by his wife and love of his life, Rebecca (Schuler) Punturi. The two were happily married since 2007. 

He is also survived by his five children Joseph (Katie O’Toole) Punturi, Benjamin (Marisa) Punturi, Jacob (Victoria) Punturi, Abigail, and Elliott Punturi, and four grandchildren Luke, Levi, Theo, and Jude.

Jody was an admiring sibling to Dina (Jack) Scherer, John (Terri) Punturi, and Michele (Michael)Yarnoff. 

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jody was a one-of-a-kind human, avid golfer and enthusiastic Pittsburgh sports fan. Despite his Penn State education, he was a Pitt fan through and through. Jody was the owner and president of the JBJ Consulting and Contracting company and a member of the Carpenters Union #432 until his retirement in 2023. He was a devoted man who loved nothing more than his family. To know Jody was to know a friendly face and one of the most infectious smiles around. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure and privilege to know and love him.
