John F. Olshefski

Formerly of North Braddock, age 83, On Monday, February 24, 2025.

Beloved son of the late John and Carrie Olszewski.

Loving brother of Wanita (late Don) Semifero, Helen (late David) Barnes and Richard (Pauline) Olshefski.

Cherished uncle of Cindy, Dave, Daniel, Marci (Mike), Dennis, Jonathan, Timothy (Joy) and Christopher (Caitlin).

John is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nephews.

He spent 32 years in the US Army, of those years 7 were spent in active duty. John was deployed three separate times to Vietnam as an interpreter. He also earned many commendations and promotions along the way.

In his retirement he enjoyed staying active by bowling, golfing, fishing, playing pickleball and volunteering for Meals On Wheels.

Friends welcome Friday 4-7 PM in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00.

Burial will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park with military honors.
