John J. Koran, Jr.
Obituary
Of East Pittsburgh, age 86, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
John was the beloved husband of Donna (Hughes) Koran of 56 years.
Loving son of the late John Koran, Sr. and late Mary (Cosko) Koran.
John is also survived by nieces and nephews.
John was a retired employee of the Pittsburgh Brass Company. He was a craftsman who enjoyed wood working and working on his cars. He also restored an antique grandfather clock, and even built one from scratch. John was most notable in the East Pittsburgh community for his volunteer work in keeping the hillside of his Cliff St. neighborhood neat, clean and trimmed.
Friends are welcome on Sunday from 1-5p.m. in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable Ave., East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800 where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m.
John will be laid to rest in St. Nicholas Russian Greek Catholic Cemetery in West Mifflin.
