Joanne T. (Carazzo) Barosh

Born in Turtle Creek on March 18, 1934, Joanne died in Turtle Creek on May 15, 2025, while a resident of LGAR.

Joanne was the wife of the late James I. Barosh for 50 years.

She was the devoted mother of David (Kelly) Barosh of Plum and the late Bruce Barosh.

Joanne treasured and cherished her grandsons, Ian and Noah Barosh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Caesar and Rose Carazzo,  her brothers, Robert (late Geneva) Carazzo, Louis (late Alice) Carazzo, Mario (late Helen) Carazzo and her sister, Frances (late John) Barnyk.

Joanne is also survived by her favorite nephew, Bobby (Barbara) Bernard and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joanne graduated from the former St. Xavier Academy in Latrobe and returned home to assist in the operation of her family-owned bar and restaurant, Caesar’s, in Turtle Creek. She also served her community as a school crossing guard with the Woodland Hills School District, being stationed on the Triboro Highway near the school and also at the James St./ Hall Dr. intersection.

Joanne was a lifelong parishioner of St. Colman Parish (now St. Joseph the Worker Parish).

Her most enjoyable memories were of the many summer days spent at Deep Creek, and all of the occasions spent with Ian and Noah.

Friends are welcome from 8:30- 9a.m. on Saturday, May 17 at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Joanne will then be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
