Joanne M. Baburich

Of Chalfant, age 77, died on Monday, January 10, 2022.

Dear cousin of Donna (Robert “Cheese”) Trbovich, John (Sherri) Bukovac, Cindy (Michael) Trainor, and Steven J. Full.

Born the daughter of the late Anthony and Barbara Baburich.

Sister of the late Robert “Butch” Baburich.

Joanne was long time employee of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America. She was proud of her Croatian heritage and was actively involved serving as president of CFU lodge #141 and a councilwoman of Chalfant. She also worked as a choreographer of various junior tamburitzan groups. Joanne served as a chairman in CFU bowling tournaments and participated in many events. She also enjoyed the CFU basketball tournaments. Joanne was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and started the Bill Mazeroski fan club.

Friends welcome Thursday 2-8 p.m. at the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800). Where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Joanne will be laid to rest at Monongahela Cemetery.
