Jean was raised in the town of North Braddock and was a graduate of North Braddock Scott High School.  In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and listening to big band music.  Jean had often attended big band concerts and dances throughout the greater Pittsburgh area, she prided herself in being an exceptional dancer.  She worked for several years as a secretary for the Westinghouse Plant in East Pittsburgh, which is also where she met her soul mate, Wyartt, who was a native of New Jersey and was employed with Westinghouse following his time in World War II.  The two married in 1950 and later settled in their life-long home in Wilkins Township.  Jean cherished the role of being a home maker, and took pride in raising her three children.  She was well known for her card playing skills and the weekly Friday night games of pinochle she would play with her three close friends.  Jean served as a crossing guard in Wilkins Township for over 20 years.  She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of both St. Helen Church in East Pittsburgh and St. John Fisher Church in Churchill, where at both churches she was also a volunteer for the Christian Mothers Organizations.  Most of all, Jean treasured the time she shared with her family, and later was rewarded with the greatest gift of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial for Jean are private.

Jean will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery.
