James "Jimbo" Regis Hearn

Of Turtle Creek, age 81, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

Born the son of the late Regis James Hearn and the late Anna (Matthews) Hearn.

Beloved brother of Karen (Dan) Arcuri of Harrison City and Daniel (Linda) Hearn of Braddock Hills.

Preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph (the late Lora) Hearn, Dale (the late Anna “Cookie”) Hearn, and Patrick (the late Chris) Hearn.

Also survived by many adored nieces and nephews.

Jim was well known for his daily routine, which consisted of walking the streets of Turtle Creek listening to his Walkman Radio, always greeting and smiling at neighbors as he passed by.  His family joked that Jim was a “neb-nose”, as he found pleasure in keeping up with local gossip.  Jim was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.  He loved to spend holidays with his family, and always made sure they were gathered to celebrate his birthday.  Jim will forever be remembered for his quiet and gentle nature, and for the love he instilled in those he was closest to.

Friends are welcome on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.  Jim would be happy to see everyone gathered together on Wednesday to share in one final Birthday with him, as Wednesday would have been his 82nd Birthday.

Jim will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
