James L. Petitta

Of Turtle Creek, age 71, died on Saturday, July 3, 2021.

Jim was the beloved husband of Patricia A. “Patty” (McKenna) Petitta for 50 years.

Dear brother of Rosemary (late Frank) D’Andrea of Swissvale and Luann (Tom) Barrante of Murrysville.

Jim is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent "Jim" Petitta and Adelia "Dale" (Perla) Petitta.

Jim was a 1967 graduate of Braddock High School. At age 16, he went to work with his father in the roofing business. He eventually became the owner and was a well-respected independent roofing contractor for over 50 years. For relaxation, Jim enjoyed fishing while at his cottage in Ligonier. He loved gatherings of family and friends at his cottage and was appreciated for the delicious dishes he cooked for many family gatherings. Jim also took pleasure tending to his vegetable garden.
