Lifelong resident of Monroeville, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Born the son of Marlene (Martell) Lachaussie and the late James Joseph Lachaussie, Sr.
Beloved companion of Lynn Westbrook for 25 years.
Loving father of Joshua (Devon) Lachaussie of Jacksonville, FL.
Dear grandfather of William and Evangeline Mears.
Adored brother of Rene (Cheryl) Lachaussie, Pierre (Carol) Lachaussie, and Michelle (Derek Shade) Lachaussie.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Jim was a former student of the Gateway School District, and was proud to have been a member of the 1st Hockey Team of Gateway High School. Before his completion of high school, Jim relocated alongside his family to Europe, he eventually graduated from St. John’s High School in Waterloo, Belgium.
Jim was employed for many years as a draftsman for Zottola Steel Corporation. He was an avid fan of the game of hockey, along with every Pittsburgh professional sports team. Jim was a talented artist, who at one time was awarded by the Levis Jean Company for one of the works he completed. Jim will forever be remembered for his love of rock music, his well-versed knowledge of sports statistics and historical matters. Additionally, he was a skilled green thumb and an animal lover.
There will be no visitation or service.
