James “Jim” Kenneth Kauric, age 60 of Wilkins Township, PA went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 after fighting a long and difficult illness. He was a warrior till the end. Preceded in death by his parents, Emily and Joseph R. Kauric, brothers Joseph (the late Marlene) Kauric and John (surviving spouse, Colleen McCleary) Kauric, and nephew, Joe. Survived by his sisters, Carol Kauric
(John Cramer) and Linda (the late Peter) Sutlic, and many loving nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins, as well as his very special kitty companion, Ciro.
Jim lived in Lancaster, PA for many years before returning to Monroeville, PA to help care for his mother and older brother. Jim went on disability retirement from the VA Hospital in 2022. He was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America
Lodge 141, East Pittsburgh, Ljubav Tamburitza Orchestra, and the Tamburitizan Association of America. He was proud of his Croatian heritage which was instilled in him at a young age by his parents. Jim’s favorite pastimes were playing and listening to tambura music, cooking, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing flag football, as well as inspiring others with his wit, compassion and inspirational quotes. Jim traveled to Croatia with the Golden Triangle Tamburitzans and his greatest joy of his life was being a member of the well-known Pittsburgh Becari Tamburitzan Orchestra. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend to all those in his life. His presence will sadly be missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernadette Church of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish in Monroeville, PA on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 10 a.m.
Jim will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
