James M. Evans

Of Plum, formerly of Wilmerding, age 82, died on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Jim was the beloved husband of Grace J. “Jackie” Evans for 20 years.

He is survived by his children, Scott (Dawn) Evans of Aubrey, TX and Michelle (Thomas) McKillop of Plum and Jackie’s children, Lynn (Charles) Wackenhuth of Herminie and Michael (Kelsi) Marshall of Sylva, NC.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Jim served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. As a veteran, Jim was a member of the Plum American Legion and served in their honor guard for 28 years. Jim was a self-taught computer/technology expert and worked in the processing field since 1968. He was the owner of TBM Computer Troubleshooters for 25 years from 1991 to 2016 when he merged his business into Computer Troubleshooters. He continued with the new firm as an Account Manager for several years. Jim’s favorite pastime was golf and he enjoyed his membership at the former Alcoma Country Club for 27 years.

His family will miss Jim and his joking nature, especially the delivery of his one-liners.

A Memorial Mass at Holy Angels Lutheran Church in Wilmerding will be held at a future date.

Jim will be laid to rest privately in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Military Honors.
