Obituary
Of West Mifflin, age 96, died on Monday, August 1, 2022.
Born the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Katus) Fedor on October 4, 1925.
Dear sister of William Fedor of West Mifflin and Anna Agnes Ivory of Wilkinsburg. Preceded in death by siblings Michael Fedor Jr., Edward J. Fedor Ph.D., Mary Damon, and infant Annie Fedor.
Beloved aunt of Robert (Leslie) Damon of VA, Patricia (Robert Small) Damon-Johnson of VA, Michael (Peggy) Ivory of Aspinwall, David (RuthAnn) Ivory of Turtle Creek, and Ann (Ron) Hersh of Easton.
Also survived by many great nieces and great nephews.
Irene is an alumni of Braddock High School class of ‘43. After graduating, she continued to Business School. Irene was employed as a secretary at US Steel Edgar Thomson Works for the bulk of her career, ultimately retiring from US Steel Homestead Works. Irene was a lifelong member and volunteer at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church in Braddock. She took pride in caring for her home and enjoyed taking vacations to Las Vegas with her family.
Friends welcome Friday 4-6 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh 15112 (412-824-8800). A Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday 11:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Braddock.
Irene will be laid to rest at Monongahela Cemetery.
