Herbert P. Winkler

Formerly of Turtle Creek and Murrysville, recently a resident of Pompano Beach, FL., age 92, died in FL on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Beloved husband of Rose Marie (Ferri) Winkler for one month shy of 70 years.

Loving father of Joseph (Lorraine) Winkler of FL and Christine (Patrick) Conto of FL.

Precious grandfather of Justin Winkler, Heather (Mark) Garner; Courtney (Charles) Manges and Nicholas Conto.

Proud great-grandfather of Caitlin, Tristin, Trent, Michael and Anthony.

Brother of the late Alberta Brendlinger and the late Gloria (late Jerry) Havranek.

At an early age, Herb worked in his family business, The Winkler Meat Market in Turtle Creek. He grew into and continued his career in the grocery business as a produce manager for many years with Bertera Foodland in East McKeesport. He switched his career path when he was hired with Weyerhauser in Murrysville from where he finally retired.

Herb was happiest when spending time with his family so his move to Pompano two years ago provided him with great joy and delight being with all of them.

There will not be a visitation or service at this time. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the spring of this year. Herb will be entombed privately in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
