Of Philadelphia, age 71, died on Thursday, June 10, 2021 peacefully at his daughter’s North Versailles home.
Greg was the beloved father of Lara Paradise of Wilkins Twp., Cassandra Paradise of North Versailles and the late Richard Paradise.
He was the treasured grandfather of Harley Paradise and the life partner of Joan Alpern, also of Philadelphia.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Edward R. and Salome (Prevas) Paradise.
Greg was a Vietnam War era Navy veteran and a retired electrician with the City of Philadelphia. In retirement, Greg split his time between Philadelphia and Costa Rica where he had launched and operated a coffee farm. He and his partner, Noam, grew the coffee beans, harvested, roasted and processed them into organic coffee.
Greg was an accomplished amateur photographer and enjoyed many types of folk dancing. He was a noted storyteller and was blessed with friends throughout the world.
Greg was a member of the St. John’s Lodge of the F.& A.M. in Philadelphia.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held in Philadelphia at a later date.
