Geraldine G. (Gusmar) Olson

Of Monroeville, formerly of Chalfant, age 76, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Born the daughter of the late John Gusmar and the late Minerva (Omar) Gusmar.

Dear wife of Gerald Olson.

Loving mother of Erin Olson of Plum and Alexia Olson of Swissvale.

Dear sister of Victor (Jan) Gusmar.

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Geraldine was a 1966 graduate at Churchill High School.  She was an animal lover who had a passion for rescuing and caring for pets, primarily cats and dogs.  In her spare time, she found leisure in completing crossword puzzles, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing computer solitaire,  and going to the movies or to Eat N Park with her friends.  She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of North American Martyrs Church in Monroeville.  Geraldine found joy in life by for fulfilling the needs of those around her.  She will forever be remembered by the countless students she cared for as a school bus monitor, and the close relationships she formed with coworkers.
