George Kobulinsky, Jr. Obituary

Of North Braddock, age 89, passed peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022.

Beloved brother of Virginia (Kobulinsky) Hylazewski and sister-in-law Alice (Whyel) Kobulinsky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

George is preceded in death by his parents: George Sr. and Anna (Aranos) Kobulinsky; sisters Geraldine, Marcella Hawk and brother Lawrence.

George was a graduate of Scott High School in North Braddock, and a proud Army Veteran, who served in the Korean War.  He was employed at US Steel Mill and Wiegand Company.

George was a faithful and loving caregiver to his parents until their deaths. He enjoyed swimming, playing football in his youth and was an avid photographer who loved animals.

Friends welcome Tuesday 10 am – 12 Noon in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory Inc; 700 Linden Ave. at Cable; East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800, where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at Noon.
Burial with military honors will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.

In memory of George, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project 600 River Ave Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212; in honor of his father George, Sr, who was in WWI and a Purple Heart recipient.
