of Wilkins Township, age 73, died January 9, 2026, at his home after a long illness.
Born in Braddock, PA to Albert and Dorothy (Miller) Jedinak, Gary was a 1970 graduate of Turtle Creek High School and a 1974 graduate of Slippery Rock University. He taught in Mt. Lebanon School District for 34 years, teaching primarily science and math his entire career. He ran the After School Sports Program, taught rocketry classes in the summer and worked on the Mt. Lebanon School District paint crew for 39 years. He retired in 2011 and became an active volunteer with the St. James Church of the St. Mary Magdalene Parish Food Pantry and the Mary’s Child Program. In retirement he also enjoyed his cherished hobbies: cycling, music and yard work.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Karen M. Jedinak of Wilkins Township, PA, his daughter Rachel Jedinak Smith (Jeremiah) of Ford City, PA, his son Nicholas Jedinak (Nicole) of Arlington, MA and two grandsons. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Church of St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Wilkinsburg, PA on Saturday at 1PM.
