Fredric H. Wilson

Formerly of Turtle Creek and North Braddock, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, just one day following his 81st birthday. 

Born the son of the late Christopher Wilson and the late Dorothy (Copenhaver) Wilson.

Beloved husband of the late MaryAnn (Mangan) Wilson.

Loving father of Tara (Greg) Byrne, Fredric “Hank” Wilson, Jr., Dorothy “Dode” (Steven) French, and Penny (Justin) Riddle.

Adored grandfather of Paul Brian and Luke Hazen Riddle.

Preceded in death by his siblings; Lloyd (late Bonnie) Wilson, Floyd “Sonny” Wilson, Dannie (late Kathy) Wilson, Dexter Wilson, Dottye Wilson, Betty Lou (late Joe) Napolitano.  

Also survived by nieces and nephews. 

Fred was proud to have been raised on Bell Avenue in North Braddock.  He was a life member of the North Braddock Volunteer Fire Department #3.  Fred worked for 18 years for U.S. Steel at the National Tube Works in McKeesport, and for 26 years as the Director of Maintenance for Good Shepherd Parish in Braddock.  Fred was a skilled carpenter and found relaxation in taking time to perfect each wooden creation he made.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, and sharing in countless trips with Dannie to Virginia.    

Friends are welcome on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.
