Frank A. Zeppenfeld

Lifelong resident of Penn Hills, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Born the son of the late Frank F. and Eleanor Zeppenfeld.

Beloved husband of Annette (Liscio) Zeppenfeld for 41 years.

Dear brother-in-law of Celeste Liscio, Cindy Liscio, and Susan (the late Albert) Pollick.

Adored uncle of Elizabeth and Kenneth Pollick.

Also survived by many close friends, and the family cat, Buddy.

Frank was a 1971 graduate of Penn Hills High School.  He continued his education by obtaining training in sound engineering, geared specifically towards radio broadcasting.  Frank’s training in sound engineering landed him a job at KDKA Radio, where he worked for 12 years and gained countless lifelong friendships.  He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Penguins, and loved cheering on the Michigan State Spartans sports teams.  Frank found solace in listening to music.  He will forever be remembered by the staff of Chatterbox Daycare, where he helped spread holiday cheer wearing a big red suit.

Friends are welcome on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m.

Frank will be laid to rest in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
