Of North Huntingdon, age 87, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
Born the daughter of the late Henry Davenport and the late Irma (Fuchs) Davenport.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Ruffolo and the late James Reihart.
Loving mother of James (Gina) Reihart and Michael (Theresa) Ruffolo. Preceded in death by daughter, Barabara Reihart; and son, Ronald Reihart.
Stepmother of Joseph (Katherine) Ruffolo, Jacqueline (Paul) Whitlow, Robert (Maureen) Ruffolo, Clara Jean (David) Galledge, and Charles “Doug” (Herma) Ruffolo.
Preceded in death by stepchildren, Mary Monfredo, John Ruffolo, Geraldine Anzelik.
Dear grandmother of Ron (Kara Kay), Emily, Sarah, and Jabon Reihart.
Great-grandmother of Kenny (Michael) and other great grandchildren.
Fern was born and raised in the Northside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. In her early years, she enjoyed the cross-country trips taken alongside Joe, they were proud to have visited every state in the U.S. except Alaska. Fern worked as a secretary for the Veterans Association, where she aided veterans in the benefits application process. She was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Fern enjoyed cooking meals for her family, where she proudly displayed her ethnic Hungarian roots.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800, where a Blessing Service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Fern will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery.
