Evelyn Marie "Dolly" (Pugliano) Albanese

Of Forest Hills, age 94, died on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Evelyn was born on August 22, 1929, a daughter of Joseph and Teresa Pugliano. She was the loving wife of the late James Albanese, Sr.

Evelyn was a wonderful and loving mother of James (Lisa) Albanese, Jr.; a devoted grandma to Stephanie Davis, James Albanese, III and Ryan (Samantha) Hohn; and a great-grandma to Troy, Noah, Amelia, Austin, Wyatt and Savannah.

She is also survived by her sister, Teresa (Richard) Smith.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, John (late Meta) Pugliano, Rose (late Leonard) Madonna, Anthony Pugliano, James (late Helen) Pugliano, Mary (late Carmen) Biondo and Caroline (late Anthony) Carvelli.

Evelyn was the ‘best’ Aunt Dolly/Aunt Ev to many.

Evelyn made such a tremendous impact on everyone she encountered. With hard work, great pride and determination, she always kept family first, and went to incredible lengths to ensure her family and those in her circle were cared for and loved beyond measure. Evelyn led a long, prosperous and wonderful life and now will be peacefully laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Jim.

Friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-7pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.
Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maurice Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.

Evelyn will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
