Elva L. Towzey
Obituary
Age 97, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Elizabeth and Monroeville. On Friday, August 11, 2023, Elva, who was born on February 25, 1926 in Elizabeth, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Elva was the daughter of the late Hugh E. Towzey and Helen (Willard) Towzey. She graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1944 and spent her life devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed crafts and spending time at the Senior Center with her friends, and she will be remembered for her smiles and her giving soul.
Her son, Gary R. Baker, preceded her in death in 2009, and in 2010 she moved to Sidney, Ohio to be with her daughter. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Jeff) Booth of Sidney, OH, and 3 grandsons, Anthony (Melissa) Dinzeo of Columbus, OH, Aaron Dinzeo of Providence, RI and Aiden Booth of Sidney. Also, she is survived by her fur babies, Coco, Archie and Rooney.
Friends are welcome on Saturday, August 26 from 10a.m.-12 noon at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon.
Elva will be laid to rest in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
