Elizabeth "Liz" (Missentzis) Shearer
Obituary
Of Turtle Creek, age 85, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Liz was the beloved mother of Jeannine (Dominic) DePaola of Harrison City.
She was the treasured grandmother of Anthony (Marissa) DePaola, and Nicholas (Joseph) DePaola and loving great grandmother of Aurelia DePaola.
Sister of Mike (the late Pearl) Missentzis of MI, and Marian (Ned) Stokes of Hempfield.
Liz is preceded in death by her siblings: Dolores Ulichne, Gus Missentzis, and John Missentzis.
Liz is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Liz was a Demo- Clerk at Sam’s Club for over 20 years. She loved being surrounded by her loved ones. She especially enjoyed being in the company of her grandkids and her great grandchild. Liz was very caring and supportive. She will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones.
Friends welcome Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday 11:00 a.m.
Liz will be laid to rest next to her brother, Gus, at Grandview Cemetery.
