Of Plum, age 76, died peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, after a long and valiant battle with lung cancer.
Ed was the beloved and cherished long-time significant other of Mary B. Stauffer.
He was the loving and treasured father of April (Ron) Schwenning of Plum.
Ed was the proud grandfather of Tyler, Tanner and Delaney Conklin.
Ed was also the brother of Kathy (late Bob) Sadusky of North Huntingdon, Maryanne (late Fred) Bruce of Plum and his late twin brother, James “Jim” Anderchak.
He was also preceded in death by his parents William and Catherine “Kay” (Roney) Anderchak and his late infant son, Brian.
Ed was a1967 graduate of North Braddock Scott High School and he was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. For over 40 years Ed excelled as a mechanic, repairing and maintaining automobiles and heavy equipment. He was a former employee of the defunct State Equipment Co. and retired after a career with the Plum Borough Public Works Department. In his spare time, Ed loved the outdoors. He hunted the Pennsylvania woods and fished its streams and lakes. He especially enjoyed his periodic fishing trips to Quebec, Canada.
A private graveside service with Military Honors will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles.
