Born the daughter of the late David Roberts and the late Mary (Conklin) Roberts.
Beloved wife of the late John Holden, who died in 2001.
Loving mother of Michele “Shelley” (Terry) Zollner of Plum.
Preceded in death by her siblings; David “Bubb” Roberts, Thomas Roberts, and Ruth Camel. Dot also cherished all of her “grand-pups”.
Dot was proud to have been born and raised in Turtle Creek, and was a graduate of Turtle Creek Union High School. She went on to pursue a career in the field of nursing. Dot attended Columbia School of Nursing, where she successfully received her designation as a Registered Nurse. Following her graduation, Dot was employed for Columbia Hospital, and then Braddock Hospital for over 20 years.
Dot idolized her soul mate in life, Johnny. When he passed away in 2001, Dot found a new passion in agility training with her dogs, Cricket and Trixie at Westmoreland County Obedience Training and Splash ’n Dash K9 Sports. She found enjoyment caring for and training her dogs, and many others. Dot was also a dedicated member of the Corinthian Chapter of the Eastern Star. Most of all, Dot treasured the memories she shared with her family over her lifetime, especially her daughter, Shelley.
Per Dot’s wishes, there will not be a visitation or service. Please consider making a memorial contribution in Dot’s name to BluePearl Pet Hospital, 807 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
