Donald Walter Thomas

Of Ohiopyle, age 77, died peacefully in his home on Friday, August 1, 2025.  Don was born on March 30, 1948, the son of Hertha Amanda (Krause) Thomas and Lawrence Richard Thomas, Sr., who resided in Murrysville, PA, both of whom are deceased.

Don was a cement and re-bar sculptor creating exhibits for Punxsutawney Phil, Pittsburgh Zoo, Oglebay Zoo, and a number of waterfalls for private clients. He is survived by his brother Lawrence ‘Larry” (Kathryn) Thomas of Geneseo, NY, Barbara (Ted) Terek of Harrison City, and Elaine (Garey) Casper  of Penn Twp. In his later years, Don became a pleasant but private person. Funeral arrangements are private with no visiting hours.
