Diane (Papula) Martin

Of Penn Twp., age 64, died on Thursday, January 2, 2025 after complications from a heart transplant.

Diane was the beloved wife of Thomas D. Martin for 45 years.

She was the loving and precious mother of Joseph (Monica) Martin of Bethel Park, Christina Martin of Penn Twp. and Tracy (fiancé Nick Mayhue) of Versailles.

Diane was the treasured grandmother of Nathan, Matthew, Morgan, Noah, Christian and Liam. She was the dear sister of Carol Funk of East Pittsburgh, Stephen (Noy) Papula of CA, Barbara (late Ken) Farrell of North Braddock, Daniel (Andrea) Papula of Level Green and the late Richard Papula.

At age 15, Diane began her career with Giant Eagle and it has spanned the past 49 years. She was first employed at the Monroeville store, later moved to the Braddock Hills store and for over 30 years has been an office clerk at the North Huntingdon store.

Diane’s favorite pastime was spoiling her grandchildren, and she especially enjoyed any trip to the beach with them. Her family was her priceless treasure.

Friends are welcome on Tuesday from 1-4 & 5-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800 where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Diane will be laid to rest in Monongahela Cemetery.
