Denise S. (Petrusch) Beam

Of Wilkins Twp., age 71, died on Friday, April 17, 2026.

Denise was the beloved wife of Donald “Sonny” Beam for 37 years.

She was the loving mother of Dustin Rice of Turtle Creek and the late Terri S. Rice.

Denise was also the caring grandmother of Preston and Lily Rice.

She was the sister of Flossie (Bruce) Tincknell of AZ and Marcy (John) Gretz of CA.

Denise is also survived by Sonny’s children, Donald (Jean Marie) Beam, Melissa (Rob) Couch, Todd Beam, and all of their children.

Denise was a 1972 graduate of Churchill Area High school. After graduation, she attended Bidwell Training Center where she trained to be a travel agent. Most of her long career as a travel agent was spent with AAA in both Florida and Pittsburgh locations. Perhaps naturally for a travel agent, Denise’s favorite interest was travelling, and she did an abundance of it. She travelled to 5 of the 6 continents, numerous countries and U.S. states. She also found joy and camaraderie playing bar bingo at the Monroeville American Legion and she was fascinated with acquiring jewelry.

Friends are welcome on Tuesday from 3-7pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800 where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Denise will be laid to rest privately at Church Hill Cemetery.
