Delores L. (Gross) Fiola

Of Turtle Creek, age 98, died on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
Delores was the devoted wife to her late husband, James R. Fiola, for nearly half a century. She was the loving mother of Shonna Fiola of Turtle Creek and the late James Fiola and his late spouse, Cynthia and his dear companion and caregiver, Linda Berry.  Delores is also survived by her cherished grandson, James “Jimbo” Fiola of the North Hills.

Delores was the sister of Betty (late Henry) Ostein of Level Green, Gert (late Ed) Smola of Jeannette, the late Evelyn (late Don) Waugaman and the late Leo Gross.

Beyond her family, Delores was an independent and formidable entrepreneur. She owned and managed Mary's Dairy in Turtle Creek. From its inception in the 1950s to its closure in the 1990s, Delores was the driving force behind the success of the establishment, serving the community with pride and a personal touch that only she could provide. Upon retirement in the early 1990’s, she and Jim resided in Port Charlotte, Florida, until Jim’s death.

Delores's zest for life was evident in her personal interests. She was the epitome of feistiness, a trait that undoubtedly contributed to her longevity and success as a business owner. Her love for cleaning and maintaining her home was more than a pastime; it was an extension of her meticulous nature.
As we say farewell to Delores, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by an unwavering commitment to her family, her work, and her community.
