David W. Peters

Of Monroeville, formerly of North Braddock, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 25, 2022.

Born the son of the late Alexander Peter and the late Alice (Huber) Peter.

Beloved partner of the late Greg Tulley.

Loving brother of Richard “Richey” (Renee) Peter, Shirley Cunningham, Lela Morrow, William (Stacey) Morrow, Benjamin (Karen) Peters, Bob Peters, Veronica Hudak, Alan (Rita) Peters, Alvin (Denise) Peters, and the late John Huber.

Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Survived by his great friend and caretaker, Stephanie Boyd Mont.

David was a 1990 graduate of Woodland Hills High School, where he was involved with the Marching Band and Visual Images.  He was formerly employed by Shop & Save in Forest Hills, Sally Beauty Supply in Monroeville, and Giant Eagle in Edgewood Town Centre, where he worked for 16 years as a pharmacy technician.  At age seven, David taught himself how to twirl a baton, little did he know that would become a large part of how people knew him.  His self-developed talent led to David’s participation in numerous parades, festivals and even a tryout for the show “America’s Got Talent.”  David was involved with the Golden Triangle Performance Ensemble and within recent years, went back to his alma mater to volunteer for the Woodland Hills Marching Band and Visual Images teaching baton twirling.  He had an exuberant passion for performing, but most of all, treasured spending time with his family and his late soul mate, Greg who gave David all the motivation to continue twirling at events as he battled his sickness.  David will be sorely missed by many, especially those that enjoyed his buzz-filled presence along parade routes in the summer months.
