David George Casper

Of Hempfield Twp., formerly of Monroeville, age 74, died on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

David was born on June 19, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley George Casper and Helen (Nelis) Casper.

David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen; his stepchildren, Ryan Parise (Callie Rohrbacher) and Nicolle (Kyriakos “Kit”) Sarafis; his grandchildren, Demetria, Dylan and Domenick Sarafis; his brother, Robert “Bob” (Judy) Casper and niece, Jennifer Casper.

David owned and operated Casper Paving in the Pittsburgh area for 47 years. In addition, he opened a gym in North Versailles known as Club 33.

As an active member of St. Edward Parish in Herminie for 32 years, he volunteered his time and talent in various ways.

David was an avid animal lover and treasured time that he spent throughout his life with his pet dogs: Lady, Amos, Kotton, Chynna, Geronimo and Meisho.

Prior to being afflicted with a debilitating disease, David was a passionate golfer and member of Edgewood Country Club. He enjoyed attending car cruises in his classic cars and crafting and building a unique model train display.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Edward Parish, 120 St. Edward Lane, Herminie, PA 15637 followed a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon.

 Private entombment in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
