David E. Buchanan

Of Wilkins Twp., age 88, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Born the son of the late David Buchanan and the late Jean (Cox) Buchanan.

Beloved husband of Judith “Judy” (Tully) Buchanan for 62 wonderful years.

Loving father of Jeffrey (Maria) Buchanan of Alexandria, VA.

Preceded in death by his siblings, Roger, Terry (the late Judy), and Donald Buchanan.

Dear brother-in-law of Jane (Jim) Lamberty, Terry (the late Jeanne) Tully, and the late Thomas Tully.

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Dave was a proud graduate of North Braddock Scott High School.  He furthered his education by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.  He was employed as a contract administrator for Westinghouse Electric Company for 40 years before retiring.  Dave was an avid reader and took great pride in his voluminous collection of books.  His favorite genre to read was history.  Some of Dave’s interests included listening to classical music, keeping up with the Pittsburgh sports teams, and playing duckpin bowling in his younger years.  Dave was also a well known “Mall Walker” at the Monroeville Mall, a favorite hobby of his for several years.

Friends are welcome on Monday from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
