Of North Braddock, PA, age 72, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 9, 2025.
Dale was born on November 5, 1952, in Braddock, PA, and was a son of the late Dale and Mona (Byron) Cromling.
He is survived by his wife, Renee (Sandor) Cromling; daughter Aimee and husband Matthew; five grandchildren who called him "Dutch", Lukas (Brooke), Julie (Devin), Aaron, Dustin (Jeena) and Alycia; three great grandchildren, Braxten, Russell, and Hunter.
He is further survived by his brother Scott (Marian) Cromling, sisters Kim McMullen and Heather (Glenn) Harvey; as well as many nieces and nephews, and many longtime friends.
Dale graduated from North Braddock Scott High School in 1970. During his senior year, he also received the distinguished honor, “Athlete of the Year”, having been a four-year All-American Athlete at Scott High School. He also attended Indiana State University on a football scholarship.
He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and loved horse racing and the casino. He spent most of his days watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Perry Mason.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145, (412) 823-9350.
A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Braddock Catholic Cemetery. Everyone please meet directly at the cemetery.
During the visitation and funeral, all guests are strongly encouraged to wear their favorite Steelers gear in celebration of Dale’s life.
