Of Wilkins Twp., formerly of North Braddock, age 79, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February, 17, 2025.
Born the daughter of the late Cletus Airhart and the late Dorothy (Dougherty) Airhart.
Beloved wife of Terrence W. “Terry” Tully for 54 years.
Loving mother of Erin (Brian H.) Trovato of Swisshelm Park, Sean Tully of Churchill, and Julie (Edward P., Jr.) Ragan of Churchill.
Cherished Nana to Brian J. Trovato and Emily Trovato.
Dear sister of Mary Ann (the late James) Dickerson. Sister-in-law of Jane Lamberty and Judy Buchanan.
Also survived by niece, Kelli Dickerson; nephew, Eric Dickerson; along with other nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tom Tully, and her dear uncle, John T. Dougherty, whom she cared for with great compassion from a young age.
Jeanne was a 1963 graduate of St. Anselm Catholic High School. She worked as a secretary for several local businesses, most notably the Union Switch and Signal in Swissvale and UPMC Montefiore Hospital. Jeanne was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. John Fisher Church. She found peace in completing word searches, reading, and hooking rugs.
Jeanne was an animal lover and was skilled at making art with ceramics. Later in life, Jeanne served as a bartender for the VFW posts in East Pittsburgh and Wilkins Township. She took pleasure in vacationing to Ocean City, NJ, and taking cruises alongside her family. Most of all, Jeanne treasured the time spent with her family, whom she loved dearly.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 12 noon in St. John Fisher Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.
Jeanne was a proud survivor of Breast Cancer and fought Alzheimer’s with great courage for many years. Memorial contributions may be in her name to the Susan G.
