Of Plum, formerly of East Pittsburgh, age 87, died peacefully at home in the presence of her family, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Connie was the beloved wife of the late John Stecz for 50 years.
She was the devoted and loving mother of Debbie (Denny) Matuszak of FL, Helen (late Jack) Roney of Plum and John (Lisa) Stecz.
Connie was the dear grandmother of David Matuszak, Zachary (Alana) Roney, Haley Roney (who was Connie’s special caregiver for whom Connie was deeply grateful) and Amanda (Kevin) Hendrick and their children.
Connie was the great-grandmother, or affectionately known as ‘Meemaw’, of ZJ, Frankie and Juliet (who was her Meemaw’s best friend!).
Connie is also survived by her sisters, Mary Rose (late John) Stanley, Theresa (late John ‘Bucky’) Corbett, and Nicolina ‘Nickie’ (Daniel Emery) McDonnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Grace (Napolitano) Fusca, her brother, Frank (surviving spouse Helen) Fusca, and her sisters, the late Katherine ‘Kay’ Timm, late Grace (late Sam McClain) Mills and late Ann (late Bob) Butela.
Connie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as her dear, special friends, Grace and Dr. Emmanuel Frempong-Manso and family.
Connie will be remembered as a homemaker who embraced her life’s role of being a caring, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Meemaw.
There will not be a visitation and her service and interment at Monongahela Cemetery will be private to her family.
