Of Presto, formerly of Turtle Creek, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
Born the son of the late Clair H. McNutt and the late Ruth (Simcic) McNutt.
Clair is survived by his son, Lon Shannon Wright; his granddaughter, Violet Wright; his brothers, Gary (Stella) McNutt and Kenneth McNutt; his niece, Allison (Adam) Forgie; his nephew, Brian (Lindsay) McNutt; his great nieces and nephews, Amelia Forgie, Mila McNutt, Henley McNutt, Samuel Forgie, River McNutt, and Bohan McNutt; and his former sister in law, Elaine DeFalco.
Clair is preceded in death by his nephew, Samuel McNutt.
Clair served his country honorably as a paratrooper and a Military Police Officer in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Clair spent many years working as a construction laborer. His work ethic earned the respect of coworkers and others who came to know him through the years. Clair also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He liked feeding hummingbirds and took delight in watching them return. Clair was well known for being a talented artist and a skilled carpenter.
