Of Forest Hills, age 70, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
Beloved wife of the late Donald “Burky” Burkhart, who passed away 9 days ago.
Cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Charney) Petras.
Sister of Jo-Anne (Gene) Edwards and Allen (Frances) Petras. Preceded in death by sister Diane (Frederick) Ludwig and brothers Harvey (surviving spouse, Denise) Petras and David Petras.
Aunt of Deborah (Gino Triponi) Edwards, Paul (Angela) Edwards, Adam Petras and Jason (Kim) Ludwig.
Great Aunt of Ava and Rhys Edwards and Elliot and Ariana Ludwig.
Cheryl enjoyed spending time gardening, gambling, occasionally golfing and boating. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her husband and family at their summer cottage.
She was a retired employee of Verizon and in her retirement, she was a crossing guard in Forest Hills.
