Charles A. "Chuck" Schano, Jr.

Age 65, of Gibsonia, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020.

He was the beloved husband for 31 wonderful years to Marilyn (Kanagy) Schano; loving father of Ashley (Travis) Bissett of West View and Nicholas Schano of Gibsonia; adored Opa of Adrian Bissett; brother of Janice Schano and Dolores Schano; brother-in-law of Marian (Floyd) Hartzler; and uncle of Michelle and Bradley Hartzler.

Chuck worked at Matthews International for over 30 years before retiring in December 2019. He was a member of St. Catherine of Sweden Church. Chuck loved going on daily walks, home improvement projects, listening to country music, gardening, and exercising. Chuck loved bringing a smile to anyone’s face, and he was known for going out of his way to sing “Happy Birthday” to family, friends, and co-workers. Most of all, Chuck loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Services will be private. There will be a Celebration of Life Mass at a later date.
