Cathy Lynn Montalbano

Of Pitcairn, formerly of Monroeville, age 63, passed away in her home on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Born the daughter of the late Carl Montalbano and the late Catherine (Mazza) Montalbano.

Beloved soul mate of Billy Hawkins for 25 years.

Loving mother of Cara Hawkins of Pitcarin and Carina Hawkins of Monroeville.

Cherished grandmother of Carl Hawkins.

Dear sister of Carmella “Connie” Beck.  Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cathy was a graduate of Gateway High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing.  Following graduation, Cathy began her journey to what came to be a decorated career in the field of nursing.  She worked for many nursing facilities surrounding the greater Pittsburgh area, such as Kane Regional in McKeesport and the Commons at Squirrel Hill, where she eventually rose to the rank of Assistant Director of Nursing.  Cathy loved that her career gave her the opportunity to travel to many unique and beautiful places.  Aside from work, she enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally.  Most of all, Cathy treasured the time spent caring for her family, and was so proud to call herself a mother, grandmother and an aunt.  Cathy will be sorely missed by all of her family.
