Cathleen "Cathy" Hogan

Of Forest Hills, formerly of East Pittsburgh, age 80, called home on Friday, May 13, 2022, to be with the Lord; and by the grace of God, went peacefully in her sleep.

Born the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Rochez) Hogan.

Dear mother of Theresa Mary “Terry” Pietrzyk, of Forest Hills; Cathleen “Cathy” Pietrzyk, of Monroeville; and the late James Pietrzyk.

Loving grandmother of Anthony and Vinny Trunzo.

Sister of the late William (surviving spouse Lorraine) Hogan, and the late Mary Ann (Frank) Staub.

Cathy is survived by some very special cousins with whom she shared many happy times in childhood and throughout her life. She cherished those memories. She also is survived by nieces and nephews she was particularly fond of them all.

Cathy was a fun-loving spirit and she enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Cathy was a gracious hostess and an amazing cook.  All enjoyed her gatherings. She slowed down in her later years, but folks will always remember her zest for life and her smile for all.

Friends welcome Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800).

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday in St. Maurice Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish at 10:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed. 

Cathy will be laid to rest at Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
