Anthony Romanelli Obituary

Anthony L. Romanelli, a lifelong resident of Wilkins Twp., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on November 27, 1935, Tony's life was marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep love for his family and community.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Patricia “Trish” (Mignogna) Romanelli. Together, they built a family that includes their son Michael and his wife Diane Romanelli, as well as their cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Romanelli, Christina (James) Kachonik, Amy Romanelli, and Andrew Romanelli.  Adored great-grandfather of Carter Kachonik. Tony is preceded in death by his siblings; Angela Burns, Joseph Romanelli, Nicholas Romanelli, James Romanelli, Adam Romanelli, and Betty Jane Romanelli. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

For 35 years, Tony served as a custodian at Wilkins Junior High School, where he was not just a staff member but a friend and mentor to many. His hard work, reliability, and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure within the school's halls.  A proud Italian-American, Tony was an active member of the Italian American Citizens Club in Wilkins Township. He shared his love for his heritage through his volunteer work, often cooking spaghetti for the Wilkins Township #3 Fire Department and the Century Club in Wilkins Township. Tony’s culinary skills were a testament to his Italian roots, and his family cherished the times he would make his homemade sauce for them.  Tony was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Colman Church.

Tony was a skilled painter and ran his own business, T, T, & B Painting.  A man with a green thumb, Tony spent 28 years nurturing plants and flowers at Henkels Greenhouse.

Most of all, Tony treasured the memories shared with his family, and prided himself as a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband, to his soul mate, Trish.
