Of Monroeville, formerly of North Braddock, age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
Born the son of the late John and Anna (Cibula) Onder.
Beloved husband of the late Helen (Zetkulic) Onder and the late Helen (Grega) Onder).
Loving father of Burt (Cheryl) Onder of Canonsburg and Adrienne (Jim) McCurry of Gibsonia.
Adored grandfather of Lynn (Aaron) Madden, Sharon (Jason) Oberdick, Jennifer (Matthew) Schnieders, and Jacquelyn (David) Gardner. Great-grandfather of Andrew, Joshua, Caroline, Noah, Lucas, Logan, Madison, Paige, and Evelyn.
Preceded in death by 6 siblings.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Al was born and raised in North Braddock, where he resided for many years. He was a proud World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. After Al returned home, he began to work for the U.S. Steel Carrie Furnace, and eventually the Westinghouse East Pittsburgh plant, where he retired after 17 years of service. Al was a longtime member of the former East Pittsburgh VFW Post #5008 and the East Pittsburgh Moose. He was a dedicated Shriner and a member of the 33rd Degree Mason Lodge #613 in Turtle Creek. Al was a devout and faithful member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in East Pittsburgh. Most of all, Al treasured the time spent and memories made with his loving family.

Al will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Restland Memorial Park.
