Of Wilkinsburg, age 98, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2016.

Loving husband of Virginia (Kobulinsky) Hylazewski.

Dear father of Joyce and Dennis Hylazewski.

Cherished brother of Theresa (John) Lokes.

Preceded in death by his sisters Elizabeth Riley and Adela Hylazewski, and his brothers Matthew, Tony, George and Isadore.

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Barney was a retired employee of the Union Steel Casting and, as a youth, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was an avid Pirates fan and also enjoyed dog racing.

Friends welcome Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800.

Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday in St. James Church, Wilkinsburg at 11:00 AM. Barney will be laid to rest in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Maryknoll Sisters; P.O. Box 311; Maryknoll, NY 10545-0311.

Joyce, Dennis and Aunt Virginia,
I am very sorry for your loss and am thinking and praying for Uncle Barney. Uncle Barney was always so kind to us. I have many fond memories of family get togethers at various homes of the Hylazewski's.
