Silvia Riccobon, age 96, of Swissvale died on June 29. Silvia was born in Capodistria, Italy in 1920 and emigrated to the U.S. along with her husband and children after WWII. She is survived by her five children: Bruna, Mary Cafaro (Frank), Silvio, Giordano, and Vincent (Pam); seven grandchildren: Lisa LeDonne (Robert), Mario Cafaro (Tiffany), Frank Cafaro (April), Giancarlo, Julian, Ariella and Alena Riccobon. Also eight great-grandchildren: Michaela and Anthony LeDonne; Jacob, Isabella, Max, Ava, Marcello and Juliana Cafaro; and two nieces: Gabriella (Richard) Brobst and Elizabeth (David) Maguire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mario Riccobon, her sister, Graziella (Grace) Urlini and brother-in-law, Mario Urlini. In the 70’s, after her husband’s death, Silvia worked as a seamstress for a local dry cleaners and was responsible for mending the Pirates’ uniforms. She loved to crochet, her flower garden and her cats. Until her eighties, she traveled back and forth to Italy every few years.There was a private service at Lanigan Funeral Home, Linden Avenue, East Pittsburgh on July 5 followed by interment at Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
