Of Naples, FL., formerly of North Braddock, died peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Johnny fought the fight and ran the race in his courageous battle against cancer.

Beloved father of Sherry (John) Novak of Naples, John Hummel, Jr. of North Braddock and Tracy Corbett of Naples.

Precious grandfather of Jenny (Spencer) Richardson, Matthew Novak, Sarah Novak, Savannah Hummel, Jade Pacheco and Eric Corbett.

Proud great-grandfather of Cameron Richardson.

Brother of Raymond Hummel, Stella Moore, Chester Hummel, Eddie Hummel and Anna Mae Cleaver.

Preceded in death by his sisters, Bessie Hummel and Antoinette Kibler, his brother, Charles Hummel, and treasured canine and best buddy, his boxer, Zeus.

Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Johnny was a former employee of the Union Switch and Signal in Swissvale. Known for being a "Mr. Fix-it", he was currently employed as the maintenance man at The Diplomat Condominiums in Naples.

Johnny’s fondest moments were spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Friends welcome Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home, 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800 where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
