Of North Versailles, age 77, on Saturday, January 30, 2016.

Gary was the son of the late Frank and late Mary (Pallo) Haberle.

Dear brother of Edmund (late Dolores) Haberle of Monroeville.

Cherished uncle of Edward (Karen) Haberle of Portland, OR and the late David Haberle.

Loving great-uncle of Hayden, Evan and Vincent Haberle.

Gary was raised in Braddock and was a graduate of St. Thomas High School in Braddock. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Gary was a passionate and grateful employee of the University of Pittsburgh for over 50 years. His current position was as Associate Dean of Business and Finance in the University’s School of Pharmacy. Gary considered his co-workers to be members of his family.

Gary enjoyed sports and stayed active for decades playing softball. He especially relished his time spent golfing with his friends and his brother, Ed.

Friends welcome Wednesday from 2-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home, Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave. at James St., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

Mass of Christian Burial in Heinz Cathedral, Oakland, Pittsburgh, on Thursday at 10 a.m.

Gary will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery in a private family ceremony.

Memorial donations may be made to the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Gary Haberle Scholarship Fund, 1100 Salk Hall, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15261.
