Of Monroeville, age 69, on Thursday, April 19, 2012.

 Beloved husband of Carol A. (Dawson) Halko for 34 years.

Loving father of Michele Adams of Turtle Creek and Andy Halko of Cleveland.

 Son-in-law of robert Dawson and grandfather of Payton.

 Brother of Robert Halko of Pgh. and Andrea (Wayne) Shacklock of Munhall.

 Also survived by nieces and nephews.

 Ken was a U.S.Army veteran and a 1964 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan.

 Ken was a Real Estate Appraiser and owner of Halko and Company, Inc. in Monroeville. He was an avid golfer and former member of both Churchill Valley Country Club and Alcoma. Ken was also a member of The Club in Monroeville.

 Friends welcome Saturday from 5-8 pm and Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home, Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave. at James St., Turtle Creek (412-823-9350) where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 11:30 am.

 Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.

 Memorial donations may be made to the National Children's Cancer Society, One S. Memorial Dr., Suite 800, St. Louis, Mo. 63102.

Ken was one of Vocelli Pizza's nicest franchisees; I always enjoyed speaking to him on the phone if he happened to forget to send me his store's sales on Monday. I was saddened to hear of his passing; my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
