Obituary of John J. “Joe” Waldron

 Of Conway, formerly of North Braddock, age 83, on Monday, January 23, 2012.

Joe was a Korean War Army veteran and a retired employee of Conrail, Conway Yards since 1988. He was a Gold Card member of the VFW.

 Husband of the late Helene (Grochowski) Waldron.

Step-father of the late Lucy Bowden.

Joe is the last survivor of 13 children of the late James and Isabell (Shannon) Waldron. His siblings were: Mildred and Eveline Waldron, Ellen Sybert, Catherine Richards, Bernice McConnell, Madeline Fetsick, Betty Meyers, James, Thomas, Patrick and William Russell Waldron and an infant who died at birth.

Special uncle to Patsy Noey and Nancy Norman who lovingly cared for him and also numerous other nieces and nephews.

Brother-in-law of the late Chester (surviving spouse, Louise) Grochowski.

Dear friend of Dominic and Vera Fioravanti.

 Friends welcome Thursday 2-6 pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home 700 Linden Ave., East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.

 Burial with Military Honors will follow at Braddock Catholic Cemetery.

 Memorial donations may be made to Villa St. Joseph, 1030 State St., Baden, Pa. 15005.
