OUTER BURIAL CONTAINER PRICE LIST

In most areas of the country, state or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave.
However, cemeteries require that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink in. Either a grave liner or a burial vault will satisfy these requirements.

The itemized price list provides you with an accurate breakdown of the price of each of the areas of our service and merchandise selections. It enables you to select only those items you would like to utilize. We do understand that this procedure is sometimes not desirable and have found that most families prefer to know the price of a complete type of service. For this reason we offer the following groupings of our itemized services.
NOTE: These groupings are for specific professional, facility and transportation services and DO NOT, in most cases, included any selected merchandise or cash accommodations. These charges will be added to whatever service grouping you select and the total of all charges will be detailed on the Statement of Funeral Goods and Services provided to you. The price of Service Grouping 1, 2 and 3 represent a discount of $600 over the prices of the same set of services if selected on an itemized basis. - Acquisition of Cremains If you want to arrange a Direct Cremation, you can use an Alternative Container. Alternative Containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are fiberboard materials. NOTE: No casket or container is required for direct cremation. No Additional fee is charged for using a customer provided container.
Direct Cremation with a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home or other location includes necessary Staff and Facilities. Visitation periods will be charged according to general price list for additional facilities use and personnel cost.

PROFESSIONAL STAFF AND FACILITIES
This portion of the funeral home charges indicates the cost of providing all of the services requested and the essential services on a 24 hour per day basis. The proportionate cost to each of the areas is for the salaries, employees benefits, training and educational expenses of not only the evident staff members but of support personnel such as technical, clerical, maintenance and of occasional help and contract services. Also included is the proportionate, per funeral share of the cost of maintaining the funeral establishment. These charges, relative to the portion of the facilities utilized include depreciation and interest expenses, property taxes, repair and replacement expenses, ground and building maintenance, insurance, utilities and communication expenses.
1. INITIAL CALL AND TRANSPORTATION. This charge is for the transfer of the remains from the local place of death or transportation port to the funeral home. Per mile rate (over 30 miles) 2. EMBALMING. Complete arterial embalming procedure, including any necessary restoration work. The charge includes all necessary equipment and supplies NOTE: Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. 3.OTHER PREPARATION OF THE BODY. A. POST EMBALMING CARE. This charge is for the cosmetizing, dressing and casketing of the remains
B. BASIC PREPARATION PROCEDURES. General cleansing, topical disinfection, dressing and identification process of remains not to be embalmed C.HAIRDRESSING 4.BASIC SERVICES OF THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF. This charge is for the arrangement, consultation and selection process with the family, implementation of the arrangement details with clergy, cemetery, crematory, legal agencies, musicians, newspaper, preparation and filing of all necessary forms and permits and for follow up services such as assistance in obtaining benefits, etc Note: This fee for our basic services will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for Direct Cremations, Immediate Burials, and Forwarding or Receiving Remains.)
5.USE OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES OF STAFF FOR VIEWING / VISITATION. Necessary staff members and facilities for preparation of casketed remains for viewing, care of floral and other contributions, supervision of visitation, lodge services, etc. PER DAY PER ½ DAY 6.USE OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES OF STAFF FOR RELIGIOUS SERVICE. Necessary staff members and facilities for coordination and supervision of religious service at either the Funeral Home or other location with casketed remains. 7.SERVICES OF PROFESSIONAL STAFF FOR INTERMENT SERVICES. Necessary staff members for coordination and supervision of Graveside or Interment service. 8.SERVICES OF PROFESSIONAL STAFF AND FACILITIES FOR MEMORIAL SERVICE (WITHOUT CASKET OR BODY). Necessary staff and facilities for coordination and supervision of memorial service at either the Funeral Home or other location. 9.DISINTERMENT SERVICE FEE
TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
These charges are those that relate to the automotive equipment utilized for each service in completing the arrangements selected. Each of the stated charges is for the use of that piece of equipment for a service within 30 miles of the funeral home. An additional mileage charge, indicated below each standard charge, will be applied for each additional one-way mile to the final disposition. Each of these charges represents the per use proportion for vehicle operation costs such as depreciation, interest, insurance, fuel, maintenance and care. The mileage charges also include the additional personnel costs for the additional time.

Our charge includes: basic services of funeral director and staff proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; embalming or other preparation of remains, if relevant; and local transportation.
16. RECEIVING REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME
Our charge includes: basic services of funeral director and staff proportionate share of overhead costs; care of remains; transportation of remains to funeral homeand to cemetery or crematory.

Our charge for a direct cremation (without ceremony) includes: basic services of funeral director and staff proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; transportation to cfrematory; necessary authorizations; and cremation, if relevant.If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are a fiberboard container or an unfinished wood box.

OUTER BURIAL CONTAINERS
The use of an Outer Burial Container or Vault is not a law in Pennsylvania. It is, however, the option of each cemetery to require the use of at least a minimum unit.

While we suggest that a person’s own clothing be used since it more accurately reflects their taste and style, we do have a wide selection of burial gowns, dresses and suits available.

Although none are required, families often prefer the use of a cremation urn to the standard container. These may be used for either interment or retention.
